Born in the heart of the Andes in the second highest capital city in the world, Quito, I started my mountaineer career as young as 13 years old. At 17 I knew I would become a mountain guide. I have been climbing mountains and exploring new routes since I was 17. After climbing Ecuador´s highest peaks, I moved to Peru, to the amazing Cordillera Blanca area. There I climbed peaks with some of the most impressive views in the world. While traveling around South America, I have climbed and hiked in amazing places: Huaraz, Arequipa, Cuzco, Vilcanota, Huyahuash, Atacama, Copiapó Tandil, La Paz, Potosí, Uyuni and others. Life has become a continuous trip of exploring and sharing these amazing places with people who care about nature, human groups and increasing life experiences. Camilo Andrade is a certified ASEGUIM mountain guide and now candidate to obtain his UIAGM/IFMGA certificaton, also a Ecotourism graduate from the Catholic University in Quito.
